I have told you how manually to add Google Adsense search results code in WordPress template. There are many different themes that adding it manually may be almost impossible. This requires some knowledge about Html coding. But everything is easier because there are many plugins that helps us. I will show you that adding Adsense search box and search results code is easy with a plugin.
1. Just download a plugin MightySearch1.1.
2. Upload it to your plugins folder (domain.com/wp-content/plugins/).
3. Activate it in WP admin panel under Plugins section.
Once activated you need to go to Google Adsense account and get Search box and Search results code. Then paste both code into MightySearch under Options/MightySearch and save it. All you need to do is create a new page (Write/write page) name it let’s say Search (or Google Search) and post slug should be Search (or google-search).
It is almost done. In a page you created you need to add html code:
<!--mightysearch--> if you want to see search form and search results form.
<!--mightysearch_form--> To see only search box form on a page.
<!--mightysearch_result--> And to call only search results on a page.
I have tried this method adding search results code in my WordPress theme but unsuccessfully because it depends on your template so I added it manually. P.S. do not forget to specify your search results address (domain.com/search or domain.com/google-search) in your Adsense account and choose an option to open a search results page within your domain address.
