We know there are many factors that affect Google PageRank. All of them are very important but there are several factors that make the biggest affect. As we all know content is a queen. If you have interesting content bloggers will link to you and this way you will get valuable back links. The more back links you have the more points you get. But there will be a revolution for many bloggers in 2010.
According to Matt Cutts Page Speed may become a ranking factor in 2010. Now people think what content to write, what methods to use to get back links. They will also have to think how to have a faster Website. It is fair to assume that Google will begin taking page speed into consideration as a ranking factor. Just imagine one example. You have found valuable information on two Websites. One Website loads very fast and the other doesn’t. I believe you would choose the faster one. That is why Google decided to award a Website which is faster. Page speed won’t be as important as back links or content but you will get a bonus for it. I believe that this definitely will be done because lots of people within Google think that page speed should be a ranking factor.
There are many fantastic tools released by Google. All of them can be found on code.google.com/speed/ These tools will help you to check or optimize your Website. In my previous post I have talked about tips to increase page speed. If you want to get a bonus for a faster Website it is time to start thinking of it. To hear what Matt Cutts says about page speed start watching at 2:35 point in the video.
