Can nofollow link affect dofollow links?

Author: admin | Files under SEO tips

Differences between nofollow and dofollow Webmasters or bloggers sometimes do not understand the value of nofollow attribute and very often they say something that is not true. That is why people have many questions about unfollowed links. They think that there is a connection between nofollow and do follow links, that one link can affect the other.

People wonder if there is one link in a web page that all other links are nofollowed as well. We are talking about one page linking to another page and one of the links is nofollowed. Google team members have given a very clear answer so there can not be any doubts. Well, nofollows are done at a specific link level, not at a page level. So if you have one nofollow link all other links will remain unaffected.

Google team will check if there’s no issues with that, but nofollows apply at an individual link level. They don’t affect the other links on the page. Read a short explanation about nofollow attribute and how it can help you. Now you can choose what links you want to be nofollowed because all other links on a page will be unaffected.

I think this feature has created a lot of confusion. But if the whole idea of no follow is conceptually clear then it will definitely boost your site’s ranking

Yes, there is no reason that a nofollow link should affect a dofollow one. You can get a dofollow link from RSS Directories too.

What we need to take care of is finally to what content we link to, not wheather we use nofollow or dofollow. Of course it’s important to know that not automatically all links are “nofollowed” if we use it once.

    Thanks a lot
