37 tips to increase PageRank

I decided to write an article about tips to increase Google page rank. Below you will see tips that will help you increase your rank. If you have more advises on improving page rank leave a comment.

1. Joining forums is a very important step. This way you get traffic and great way to achieve links to your blog. You do not need to do this specially because it takes time to be active and noticeable on forums.

2. Submitting to search engine directories will give your site a significant result. I believe DMOZ is the most popular.

3. Creating and publishing articles are the most important. Content is a king and may bring you huge traffic. People search on Google everyday so unique content will bring you visitors and your blog will get higher Page rank.

4. Links from related websites. Just get a link from sites that are related to your blog. Exchange links with other bloggers. This is called Blogroll.

5. Internal linking. It is very important to link each your (article) page to any other related article. Let’s say article 1 to article 2. But if you make a circle that would be the best for SEO. Let’s say article 1 to article 2 and article 3 to article 1.

6. Inbound and Outbound links. You need to have links from page A to page B. And link that poins away from your blog.

7. Gangling links. Links which points to other page without outgoing links, this way the other page gets not rank.

8. Choosing domain names are the first important step. The name should be related to your content and the ending should be .com or .net.

9. Update your blog every day. Add unique content every day. This way you will get more visitors coming back everyday.

10. Fixing your Title and Meta tags. You will be noticeable on Google and well optimized for search engines.

11. Write articles with keywords. Keywords are very important and plays a big role optimizing your blog. Your blog will be found on search engines.

12. Using related posts is very helpful step. Just download related posts plugin. This plugin will help your visitors to browse and find more on your blog.

13. Use a lot of keyword tags. Just do not use the same in the same row. There should not be too many.

14. As I know it is necessary to link to Google. One link is good. It is said that the more traffic you send them the better.

15. Using invisible text. Just text that human cannot see. Do not worry Google will notice that text.

16. I have heard that it is important to use dots at the end of the post. I never use this tip so you can try on your own. By the way, you need to link dots to Google or Yahoo.

17. Using H1 tags for your site. This is easy and can bring you better rankings. Just put these tags at the top of your article <h1 >text</h1 >.

18. Do not use words like _enis or v_gina. Google doesn’t like adult sites so you can get banned.

19. Using rel=”nofollow” tags. Just read my previous post about it.

20. Being active on Social networks are important for SEO. Huge traffic is guaranteed.

21. Commenting on blogs. This will help you to get additional traffic and commenting on do follow blogs will give you noticeable results.

22. Buying Back links. I do not offer you to buy back links. You can be penalized by Google.
23. Get links from blogs with PR4 or higher. This will not be easy but you can try. It is better to get links form highly ranked blogs.

24. Keeping your page names as shorter as possible. Let’s say domain.com/articles/post instead of domain.com/articles/date/month/year/category/post/

25. Get rid of Java script. Any useless scripts should be removed from your blog.

26. Blog template is important too. Find Wordpress theme. Blog design, navigation are important.

27. Paid posts without nofollow tags can damage your rank.

28. Better use proper permalinks. Let’s say do not use http://www.domain.com/archives/123

29. Articles should not be only text. Use images in your posts.

30. Highlighting in your article is necessary. This way Google thinks the words are important so rank you better.

31. Rank just for rank is not important. You have to rank well for terms people actually search for. It’s useless if you have no traffic.

32. Age of your domain name is important too. If you have a domain name for a year or two years you will probably get higher rank.

33. Optimizing images. All the time you place any image in your post use ALT tags. Example: <IMG src=”URL” ALT=”Insert your Alternative Text Here”>.
