WordPress error 404 - posts not foundIf you have a WordPress blog and have a problem with 404 Error – not found I will try to explain how to avoid this problem. It is very annoying thing when you visit your blog and get this error after clicking an any post or page link. First, you may be interested in similar post about fixing .htaccess problem and several solutions. But I will give you another solution which may be helpful.

First, your WordPress blog for correct work requires several files. There is a folder named cgi-bin which should not be removed and which contain with php system file. Just do not remove cgi-bin folder or any file in it. Also please note that php is installed as cgi application, but not Apache module so all php parameters should be changed only through php.ini.

If you have removed cgi-bin folder I will not tell you how to restore it but you can contact your hosting company and ask for a help. They will restore it. I think this problem can stop people coming to your blog from search engines because post is not available. If you have ever had any similar problems like this please leave a comment below.
