Exchanging links with other bloggers is a good step to get your blog noticed by readers. It is also a good way to get a vote from other blogger but there are bloggers who try to get a vote or several votes in unacceptable way. I will tell you about cross linking. What to do and what to avoid when exchanging links? You may have hundreds of links on your blogroll and it can help you a lot but it may also impact your blog negatively.
Well, there is one very important thing if you want to get a little bit more from Google than others. When you exchange links with others try to exchange links with similar blogs. There should be a similar niche. However bloggers have more than one blog. And usually they put each link on every blog. In other words they cross link blogs. You should be asking yourself if cross linking is bad or no? I would say that better avoid cross linking but if the blogs have same or similar niche there shouldn’t be a problem.
Let say your blog Nr. 1 is about “Marketing”, blog Nr. 2 is about “Nature” and blog Nr. 3 is about “Computers”. In this instance this is not a good idea to cross link blogs. There always should be a relevancy. Also if your reader is reading about ways to make money and he sees a link about “vegetables” he may be very unmet. If your reader is unhappy Google will be unhappy as well. So avoid cross linking irrelevant blogs.

I have been wondering about this since I have the same thing as that lady has except for more but they are all relevant so I wish I knew the acceptable number.
