As we all know, there has been talks over how Facebook is taking over Instagram. Instagram is well known around the Internet for letting you upload your photos and images that were taken with any smartphone. News of the possibility of Facebook taking over Instagram has left users distressed, as it would mean losing their preferred service that they have grown accustomed to. While a possibility would mean that Instagram might not be taken over after all, it’s never wrong to prepare, just in case. There exist a number of programs that let you backup your Instagram photos. Here are 6 of these programs that you can use.
The list of programs you can use
Instaport – You can use this program to download all of your pictures straight to your hard drive. Simple and easy to use, all you have to do is to make an account for Instaport and have it authorized so it can do its work. You can also set backup limits with Instaport, limiting it to a few specific images. Look out for future updates with Instaport, when it will plan on adding the ability to transfer your pictures to other networks, such as Facebook and Flickr.
GramGrab – This program allows you to download your photos from Instagram individually, as well as letting you preview them before backing them up to your hard drive. The previews are displayed individually in a grid, allowing you to pick which ones you would like to download. A very nice feature for those who want to, say, download the images separately onto different folders for organization.
InstaBackUp – A very straightforward program to use. InstaBackUp allows you to download your images straight to a specific folder in your computer. This program is compatible with both Windows and Mac. Go with this program if you want to go straight to downloading your images without having any other processes and steps to deal with.
Instagram Downloader – This aptly named program is a desktop application for Windows that downloads all your images straight into a specific folder in the computer. It works just like InstaBackUp, and is a good tool to use for instant downloads from Instagram.
Printsagram – An interesting app to use, Printsagram uses a unique method to back your images up: physically. Printsagram allows you to print out images from Instagram. You can choose to print them on just about anything; on paper, on a book, even on a T-shirt, if you could. If you also want to, you can choose to delete the images after printing them out.
Instadrop – Also known as Dropbox, it is considered the most popular storage program that can be used for Instagram. You can use the Instadrop program to download pictures stored in your Dropbox straight into the computer. While popular, do keep in mind that it has a glitch in the system where it cannot save old Instagram pictures, only saving new ones, instead.
These are but a few of the many programs you can use to save your Instagram pictures with. However, you should have a good idea of which one to use for your Instagram backup needs.
